The NKF Office of Scientific and Public Policy is located in the Washington DC area. Its purpose is to advance the Foundation's advocacy for kidney patients by creating a grassroots plan (the Renal Representative Program) to stimulate and channel the activities of NKF volunteers. In addition, the office has been working with NKF affiliates to support the Foundation's goals at the level of state government.
